Hurulu didn’t go sailing much in 2016, as I traveled and had a
summer surgery that kept me off her -- but she enjoyed regular attention
throughout the year thanks to her dock-neighbor, Jeff Wisdom – thank you Jeff !!
Regularly, Jeff runs and checks her engine, checks her lines,
systems and bilge, makes sure the dehumidifier is running, airs her out, makes sure there are no leaks, talks to her a bit, gives
her a pat on the hull and a knock on her wood.
Also the usual professional maintenance team kept at their jobs during 2016 – diver Jason Maneri cleans
her hull every quarter, mechanic Bill Victor does his annual Yanmar engine service, varnisher
Victor Rodriguez keeps up her brightwork.
